In what appears to be the last game with Mike Zimmer as their head coach, the Minnesota Vikings ended the 2021 season with a win over the Chicago Bears.
Inside U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, Mike Zimmer put his headset on as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings for what is likely going to end up as the final time. Minnesota was able to put together an impressive performance in the final two quarters of the matchup to leave their home stadium with a victory over Chicago by a final score of 31 to 17.
Justin Jefferson falls short of Minnesota Vikings record in win over Chicago Bears
Against the Bears on Sunday, Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson had a great chance to break the franchise’s all-time single-season record for receiving yards that is currently held by Randy Moss.
During Minnesota’s second-half surge, it seemed like Jefferson was likely going to surpass Moss in the record books.
Despite him not breaking Moss’ record on Sunday, Jefferson still put a nice cap on his very impressive 2021 season by hauling in five catches for 107 yards and one touchdown in the Vikings’ victory over Chicago.
